Welcome to MercyChefs.com!
Mercy Chefs is a non-profit, faith based, charitable organization committed to serving high quality professionally prepared meals in disasters and national emergencies, recruiting and training volunteers and providing food service support to the activities of other disaster relief and faith based organizations.
Mercy Chefs shows Christian compassion and hospitality by serving victims, first responders and volunteers. To accomplish this we have acquired efficient mobile kitchen equipment and resources and are prepared for a multiple location rapid response capability. We train church based volunteer groups in support of this mission, engage Christian hospitality industry professionals as Mercy Chefs and have developed strategic alliances with supporting organizations. We also support other faith based agencies in their work and have well established partnerships with many other faith based disaster relief agencies. Most importantly we are dedicated to exemplifying Christian compassion and mercy while conforming to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Mercy Chefs is an all volunteer organization with zero salaries. We have highly skilled Mercy chefs in Virginia, Wisconsin, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and North Carolina. We have volunteers in these and many more states and are always exspanding our base of volunteer chefs, cooks, industry professionals and helpers.
The vision vision for Mercy Chefs was born while R. Gary LeBlanc was leading a mobile kitchen on its maiden voyage in the days after Hurricane Katrina. The call to feed people and share the Love of Christ led him to a point in the midst of this horrific disaster where a passion to provide high quality and professionally prepared meals to victims, volunteers and first responders was birthed.

Preparing for Huricane Issac - Tropical Storm Isaac has had our full attention these past couple of days. Just as Isaac would father a trickster son this storm has proven to be one that will keep us on our toes. As of today Mercy Chefs will be on the Gulf Wednesday and in full swing by Thursday with BOTH kitchen trailers. Exactly where is still not possible to say until the storm makes landfall. We are checking now to see who might be available to volunteer any number of days starting Thursday August 30th .
We could use a hand or two for any amount of time you could be away.
