El Salvador Updates

Uganda, one of the world’s poorest nations, faces severe food insecurity, with nearly one million people affected. In Kaabong and Arua, thousands of Sudanese refugees endure violence, hunger, and dire living conditions.

In partnership with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), Mercy Chefs Global provides critical relief in these villages through hot meals, groceries, clean water, and baby formula. We serve two meals daily to nearly 500 patients at Kaabong’s only hospital. Follow our global relief updates on Facebook and Instagram (@MercyChefs).

New Water Well Built in Kaabong

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received enough funding to build a new well in Kaabong! The work has been completed, and the well is now fully operational, providing clean, safe water to more than 1,000 people daily!

This new well means so much more than fresh water—it’s a lifeline for the people of Kaabong. Thank you for bringing clean water and renewed sense of hope to Kaabong! Check out the images below to see the new well being built.

Restoring Clean Water to Kaabong

Pastor Samuel, our partner in Kaabong, shared a heartbreaking reality: the local well’s borehole is broken, leaving his community without clean water. Women are forced to drink from muddy puddles. “I’m so surprised that they drink the water down on the ground where people step,” he said.

These women, who help grow beans to feed nearby villages and the local hospital, now face a greater risk of deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid. While our mission in Uganda focuses on providing hot meals, access to clean water is just as critical. Rebuilding this well will restore safe water for this community and beyond. Will you help us bring clean water and hope to Kaabong?

Bringing Hope to a Local Hospital

In Kaabong, the only hospital relies on four doctors to care for over 450 patients, many suffering from starvation. In the malnutrition ward, children with swollen bellies fight for survival as they struggle to process food.

Through our partnership with YWAM Kaabong, we are providing daily breakfast and dinner to the hospital, along with baby formula for mothers unable to produce breast milk. These lifesaving meals have brought hope to patients and staff. Your support makes our work possible. Together, we can continue feeding and caring for Kaabong’s most vulnerable.
