More rain has fallen in the Lake Charles area over the last two days than during both major hurricanes last year, and even more rainfall continues. It’s heartbreaking for our team to see many of the same families we helped last year who are now once again struggling to pick up the pieces.

There are still many “blue-roofed” homes patched with tarps after last year’s hurricanes. The heavy rains and the resulting flooding are now pummeling these residents once again.

Mercy Chefs deployed to Lake Charles twice in 2020 during the aftermaths of those devastating storms, and with your support we are back to help. Mercy Chefs is serving hurting families in Lake Charles today. We served our first meals yesterday Wednesday evening, and we’re continuing to serve thousands.
