Mercy Chefs Brings Nourishment and Hope to Nashville Seniors

NASHVILLE, TN – For seniors facing health challenges, limited mobility, or other barriers, something as simple as getting a meal on the table can become an unexpected daily struggle. Through its Nashville Community Kitchen, Mercy Chefs is helping ease that burden by providing hot, chef-prepared meals to residents of Edgefield Manor, a senior living community in Nashville.

One of those residents is Chinita, who, after health challenges left her unable to walk, has had to rely on others to shop for groceries and bring food to her home. But through Mercy Chefs’ partnership with Edgefield Manor, Chinita now has one less thing to worry about.

“With Mercy Chefs, I knew twice a week that I didn’t have to worry about what I was going to eat,” Chinita shared. Watch her story below.

For Chinita and other residents, these consistent meals offer more than sustenance—they bring dignity, restore peace of mind, and ease their burden.

Mercy Chefs extends its mission to “just go feed people” through its Community Kitchens, with locations across four states. By partnering with local organizations like Edgefield Manor, Mercy Chefs serves meals to neighbors facing food insecurity and financial hardships, ensuring practical needs are met while building meaningful connections.
