Mercy Chefs Serves Meals at Booker T. Washington High School Toy Drive

HAMPTON ROADS, VA — On Thursday, December 19, Helping Kids and Teens America, Inc. hosted its annual Community Christmas Giveaway at Booker T. Washington High School, bringing holiday cheer to local families and children with free toys and new clothing. Mercy Chefs served 400 hot, chef-prepared meals from its Portsmouth Community Kitchen to attendees who waited in the cold to pick select items.

This marks the third consecutive year Mercy Chefs partners with Helping Kids and Teens America, Inc. to spread joy and comfort during the holiday season.

PORTSMOUTH, VA – Mercy Chefs welcomed friends and community members to its Holiday Open Holiday on December 15. The event celebrated the Christmas season and provided an inside look at the nonprofit’s impactful work. Guests enjoyed festive treats and cocktails crafted by Mercy Chefs’ talented culinary team and were treated to behind-the-scenes tours of the organization’s facilities.
