Eastern Kentucky Response

Just five months after deadly floods destroyed countless towns in Eastern Kentucky, these communities are still suffering. As plummeting temperatures freeze water pipes and food banks are depleted, Mercy Chefs has fully deployed to the Wolfe County area. We are cooking from a mobile kitchen and have been cooking about 5,000 delicious, hot meals or more per day, and we will steadily increase our production to meet the needs of the community.

The need here is staggering. Our local contacts have described the extent of severe food insecurity in the area where 90% of children only eat meals at school because there is no food at home. Frozen pipes have caused damage and left entire towns without potable water. Mercy Chefs is committed to making a difference here by providing hot meals and helping these families get back on their feet.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support as we feed body and soul.
