Philippines Relief

Philippines Updates

The Philippines, home to more than 114 million people across 7,600 islands, is ranked as the most disaster-prone country in the world. Frequent cyclones, widespread poverty, and food insecurity leave millions vulnerable—nearly half the population struggles to access enough food, and one in four children under five suffers from stunting. In the midst of these challenges, Mercy Chefs Global is partnering with trusted local organizations to bring hope and stability through hot meals, disaster response, and long-term care for some of the most at-risk communities.

Hope Delivered by Air

Typhoon Ragasa devastated northern communities, leaving the Babuyan Islands nearly destroyed. Entire communities—many still reeling from last year’s disasters—have been devastated once again. Families who had already endured so much lost everything. Through God’s provision, 500 sacks of rice and 100 cases of noodles were airlifted by Black Hawk helicopters into these unreachable, flooded communities.

Yet the need remains urgent with many families facing starvation. Your gift today can bring life-saving food and hope to families who have lost it all.

Bringing Relief in the Wake of Ragasa

On September 22, Super Typhoon Ragasa struck the Babuyan Islands as a Category 5 storm, leaving behind catastrophic loss and heartbreak. Food is scarce, families are grieving, and homes are gone.

Mercy Chefs Global is working alongside trusted partners to deliver urgent relief, providing thousands of pounds of rice to those hardest hit. For families who lost everything, each bag of rice brings comfort, dignity, and hope. Please keep these communities and our partners in your prayers as they begin the long road to recovery once again.
