Hurricane Michael
The Forgotten Disaster
The Florida Panhandle is far from returning to normalcy following Hurricane Michael’s devastating strike in early October.
Relief organizations around the country are stretched thin trying to provide aid. The difference is donations aren’t coming. Reports show that donations for Hurricane Michael total around fifteen percent of what was raised following similar, even less destructive Hurricanes. Despite funding challenges, Mercy Chefs is committed to helping the people whose lives were torn apart by Hurricane Michael recover.
