Volunteer Appreciation Week

The backbone of all we do.

National Volunteer Appreciation Week is here, and we’re thrilled to celebrate you!

At Mercy Chefs, volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. Because of your compassion and willingness to serve, countless individuals and families have received hot, chef-prepared meals in moments when they needed them most. Your impact reaches far beyond the kitchen, bringing comfort, dignity, and hope to communities across the country.

Serving as the hands & feet of Jesus.

Since 2019, Mark and Kim have traveled across state lines, stepping into some of the hardest-hit disaster communities. They’ve served hot meals to families who’ve lost everything, supported first responders working around the clock, and stood shoulder to shoulder with neighbors searching for hope. What began as a simple act of giving has become a calling that continues to shape their lives. “You don’t always know who you’ve impacted, but sometimes you’re the one being changed,” Kim shared.

This work doesn’t happen without you. In every clamshell container you fill, every vegetable you chop, every meal you hand to someone in need, you become the hands and feet of Jesus.

Celebrate with us!

It’s a time to recognize your incredible contributions, celebrate the difference you make every day, and connect with fellow volunteers! We invite you to be a part of the celebration, whether joining us in person at one of our Community Kitchens, tuning in to a virtual event, or engaging with us on social media!
