Wisconsin Tornado Response
Tornado Relief Updates
Powerful tornadoes tore through northeastern Wisconsin on July 27, leaving a trail of devastation across the Fox Cities region. Preliminary assessments indicate an EF-3 tornado remained on the ground for more than 20 minutes, damaging or destroying thousands of homes, toppling trees and power lines, and leaving entire neighborhoods without electricity. Early reports suggest this is one of the most destructive tornadoes to strike the region in years.
As families begin the long road to recovery, a full Mercy Chefs deployment team is on the ground in Wisconsin. We are committed to standing beside families and rescue teams in the days ahead. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@MercyChefs) for live updates.

Pulling Together for Recovery
In a matter of minutes, Billie’s home disappeared when the EF-3 tornado tore through Menasha. Billie recalls holding on “for dear life” to her children as the storm passed overhead.
Now, as Billie and other families begin the daunting task of rebuilding, a hot, chef-prepared meal provides one less thing to worry about after long days of clearing debris and salvaging what they can. It’s a simple reminder that they are not facing recovery alone. “The outpouring of support and everybody who wants to help has been just overwhelming,” Billie shared. “[E]verybody pulling together has been such a blessing for everyone.” Your support ensures families receive the strength and energy to get through recovery.

A Hug & A Hot Meal
This week’s EF-3 tornado in Wisconsin carved a path of destruction with a funnel nearly 15 football fields wide at its widest point. Because of your generosity, hot, chef-prepared meals are bringing comfort to families who have lost so much.
Miss Julie (pictured) broke down in tears as our team hugged her and handed her chicken Alfredo, broccoli, garlic feta crumble, a breadstick, and a brownie with a berry compote while she and her family sheltered in an RV outside their damaged home. The need remains urgent, and our team will continue serving as long as families need us. Will you help provide more hot meals to tornado victims in Wisconsin today?
