Ravioli With Meat Sauce And Mixed Vegetables

Ingredients

  1. 1 t Canola Oil
  2. 1# Bulk Italian Sausage
  3. ½ ea Onion, diced
  4. 2 clv Garlic, chopped fine
  5. 1 T Italian Seasoning
  6. 1 cn Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz)
  7. 1 pinch Sugar
  8. To taste Kosher Salt and Pepper
  9. 1 bag Frozen Cheese Ravioli
  10. 1 bag Frozen Mixed Vegetables

Directions

Step 1:
In a medium pot over medium high heat, add canola oil and sausage to hot pan. Crumble sausage and cook until it browns.

Step 2:
Add onions to sausage pot and cook until they tenderize, about 2 minutes. Add garlic and Italian seasoning, cook additional 30 seconds.

Step 3:
Turn heat down to medium low and add tomatoes and sugar. Cover pot and let it simmer about 15 minutes, until flavors come together.

Step 4:
In a separate medium pot, bring 3 qts of water and 2T of kosher salt to a boil over high heat.

Step 5:
When water is boiling rapidly, add ravioli. Bring back to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Add mixed vegetables to the same pot, bring back to a simmer and cook and additional 2 minutes. Drain.

Step 6:
Serve ravioli and vegetables topped with meat sauce.
