Ingredients
- 1 T Canola Oil
- 1# Ground Beef
- To Taste Kosher Salt and Black Pepper
- ½ ea Onion
- 2 clv Garlic, chopped fine
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 T Ketchup
- 2 T Cream Cheese
- 8 oz Shredded Cheddar
- ½ box Macaroni
- 1 bag Frozen Peas (12 oz)
Step 1:
In a medium sauce pan over high heat bring 3 qts of water and 2 T of salt to a boil. Add macaroni, stir, and cook for about 7-9 minutes, until it is almost tender. Add peas to pasta pot, return to a boil and cook 2 more minutes. Drain water.
Step 2:
In a large wide pan, over medium high heat, add 1 T of canola oil. When the pan is hot, crumble the raw ground beef and add it to the pan. Let it brown without disturbing it, about 3 minutes, then stir to complete browning. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.
Step 3:
When beef is cooked, drain excess fat out. Return beef to pan and add onion, cook until it tenderizes. Add garlic and cook and additional 30 seconds.
Step 4:
Turn heat to low, add milk, mustard and ketchup to beef and bring to a simmer. Add cream cheese, stirring constantly until it melts, then add cheddar and stir in until it melts. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Step 5:
Mix pasta and pea mixture into cheeseburger sauce. Enjoy!!
